You can easily customize the automated welcome emails sent to new recipients when they are first added to your building's directory. This allows you to tailor the tone, provide clear registration instructions, and share any important mailroom policies to match your building's specific needs.
How to Edit the Email Notification Template
Log in to the web platform and select
Notificationsfrom the main navigation bar.Locate the
Sign upsection, clickActions, and selectEdit.To rename the template for your own internal records, click the
penicon beside the title.You can now customize the following sections of the email:
Subject: The text the recipient sees in their inbox before opening the email.Heading: The main title at the very top of the email body.Subheading: The primary notification text used to deliver the core message of the email in a brief, easy-to-read format.Body: An optional field for providing additional long-form instructions or specific mailroom policies below the main message.
In these sections, use the
Variablesdropdown menu to automatically pull in specific details, like the recipient's last name or alias, and insert them into your text.Click
Submitto save your changes!
Restoring Default Settings
If you wish to discard your customizations and return to the original, system-generated templates at any time:
Click the
Restore Defaultbutton.Click
Confirmon the verification pop-up.Click
Submitto save the reset and return to the original settings.
