The Pick Up feature in Parcel Tracker allows couriers to assume custody of parcels, ensuring each handover is time-stamped and logged. This process maintains a transparent chain of custody as parcels move through various locations within your organization.
Steps to Pick Up Parcels:
Access the Move Tab:
Navigate to the “
Move” tab within the Parcel Tracker app.
Initiate Pick Up:
Tap the “
Pick Up” button to begin the process.
Select Site:
You’ll see a list of sites with parcels awaiting pickup, along with the number of parcels at each site.
Select the desired site from which you intend to pick up parcels.
Scan Parcels:
Scan the barcodes of the parcels you are collecting. This action logs the pickup time, location, and assigns custody to you.
Click on "
Pick up".
Proceed with Delivery
After pickup, you can either:
Move the parcel to another site for further routing.
Drop off the parcel directly to the end recipient.
Note: Each pickup action is recorded in the system, providing a detailed audit trail for every parcel.
