Multi-Mailroom: Drop Off

Complete the internal delivery chain by dropping off parcels to a new site or directly to the recipient.

What is Drop Off?

The Drop Off feature is a dedicated tool found under the Move function of the Parcel Tracker application. As the essential second half of the internal routing process, this feature allows you to finalize the movement of a picked-up parcel by either:

  • Transferring it to a different internal site.

  • Delivering it directly to the final recipient.

By logging the exact drop-off location, time, and delivery method, this feature completes the chain of custody. It ensures you maintain accurate and fully visible tracking for all internal organizational package movements from start to finish.

The Drop Off feature is part of the Parcel Tracker Multi-Mailroom system and is exclusively available to users on the Parcel Tracker Enterprise Plan. To learn more about Multi-Mailroom, refer to this guide here.

How to Use the Drop Off Feature on the Mobile App

Follow these steps to complete a drop-off using your mobile device:

  1. Tap Move from the bottom navigation menu, then select Drop Off.

  2. Hold down the Circular Button to scan the parcel(s).

    • Repeat this step if handling multiple parcels.

  3. Once done scanning, tap the Parcel Cart icon.

  4. Review the selected parcel(s) and add more if needed.

  5. Choose your final action:

    • Tap Move if you are transferring the parcel to another internal site

    • Tap Drop Off if you are handing the parcel directly to the recipient

  6. Confirm the Drop Off by either asking adding a signature, note, or photo.

The Drop Off feature is used in conjunction with the Pick Up feature. You must have parcels successfully picked up in the system before you can use the Drop Off feature to move them.
