Multi-Mailroom: Scanning Expected Parcels

Use the Check In flow to quickly scan and receive expected parcels moving between internal locations.

What are Expected Parcels?

Expected Parcels are parcels that have been transferred or routed (moved) from another internal site and are scheduled to arrive at a designated destination site but have not yet been physically received or scanned there.

These parcels are marked as “Expected” to provide visibility into incoming internal transfers. This allows staff to anticipate arrivals and resume tracking once the parcels are checked in at the destination.

Expected parcels are parcels generated through the Move feature, which allows parcels to be transferred between internal sites, a feature exclusively available for Multi-Mailroom under the Enterprise plan. To learn more about Multi-Mailroom, refer to this guide.

How Scanning Works in Multi-Mailroom

With the latest update, Batch Scan has been fully integrated into the Check In flow.

This means you can now:

  • Continuously scan parcels using the Check In feature

  • Automatically process both new parcels and expected parcels in one workflow

  • Manually include expected parcels during review before finalizing

This streamlined process removes the need to switch between different scanning modes.
