What is Batch Scanning?

Batch Scanning is the fastest way to log expected parcels as they move between your internal locations. Since scanning the parcel's tracking barcode is usually all it takes to register the transfer, this feature provides a quick experience for your staff.

  • Expected Parcels are parcels that have been transferred or routed (moved) from another internal site and are scheduled to arrive at a designated destination site, but have not yet been physically received or scanned there. These parcels are marked as “expected” to provide visibility of incoming internal transfers, allowing staff to anticipate arrivals and resume tracking once the parcels are checked in at the destination.

The Batch Scan feature is exclusively available to users who have access to Multi-Mailroom under the Enterprise plan. To learn more about Multi-Mailroom, refer to this guide here.

How to Access and Use Batch Scan on the Mobile App

Follow these quick steps to start scanning your expected parcels in bulk:

  1. On the mobile app, tap In from the bottom navigation menu and select Batch Scan.

  2. Press and hold the circular button to scan the parcels. Alternatively, you can tap on the bar found at the top of your screen (which displays the total amount of expected parcels on the bottom right) to access your list of expected parcels. Here, you can manually select which parcels to check-in, then tap Confirm to finalize your selection.

  3. Tap Next to view the summary of the scanned or manually selected expected parcels.

  4. Tap Check-in to finalize the reception of your expected parcels.
