How to Enable and Use Batch Parcel Collection

Learn how to efficiently gather and distribute multiple parcels at once using the Batch Parcel Collection feature.

What is Batch Parcel Collection?

The Batch Parcel Collection feature is used when mailroom staff gather multiple packages from reception to distribute to various recipients. Instead of waiting to scan each recipient's individual collection QR code, staff can simply scan the tracking barcodes on the physical parcels to quickly group them for delivery.

This setup is particularly useful for outbound deliveries where staff deliver parcels directly to the recipients instead of having them pick them up at the reception desk.

Only Owners and Admin users can enable this feature. To learn more about mailroom user access, feel free to check the full list of mailroom users and their permissions here.

How to Enable Batch Parcel Collection

  1. Log into your Parcel Tracker account on the web platform and navigate to Settings.

  2. Click on the Features tab.

  3. Toggle the switch to turn on Batch Parcel Collection.

Batch Collection Using a Barcode

Use this method to quickly log the parcels you are taking out for delivery by scanning them.

  1. Tap Out on the bottom navigation menu and select Batch Check-Out.

  2. Scan the barcodes of the parcels you are preparing to distribute, and tap Next once you are done scanning all intended parcels.

  3. Upon delivery, choose to add either a Signature, Picture (using the camera icon), or Note (using the pencil icon).

    1. Since batch collection often involves delivering multiple packages to different people, a single signature might not always work, making pictures or notes a great alternative.

  4. Tap Check-Out to finalize the delivery.

Batch Collection Without Using a Barcode

Use this method to manually select parcels from your list without scanning each parcel's barcode.

  1. Tap Out on the bottom navigation menu and select Batch Check-Out.

  2. Click on the Big Box at the top of the screen to view your held parcels.

  3. Tap Select All to choose the entire list, or select the parcels one by one, and finally tap Confirm to finalize your selected parcels.

  4. Tap Next.

  5. Choose your proof of delivery (Signature, Picture using the camera icon, or Note using the pencil icon).

  6. Tap Check-Out to finalize the delivery.
