How Parcel Tracker works

Understand how Parcel Tracker operates with this detailed overview.

Updated over 4 months ago

Explore how Parcel Tracker can transform your mailroom operations with its comprehensive suite of features designed to simplify and streamline the management of parcels.

To get started, all you need to do is follow the steps below

Add recipients

Before you start logging parcels, you will need to add in your recipient. Parcel Tracker scans parcels by relying on existing information; if the recipients aren't in the system, the app will not be able to detect their parcels.

There are two ways to add recipients on Parcel Tracker:

  • Bulk upload recipients with a CSV file on Parcel Tracker's web platform - add thousands of recipients at once with just a few clicks.

  • Add recipients manually on Parcel Tracker's web platform or mobile app - easily add a few recipients without having to update the whole database.

Parcel Tracker also offers seamless integrations for uploading recipient data.

Log a parcel & notify residents automatically

After updating your recipient database, you are ready to scan parcels.

Using Parcel Tracker's mobile app, you can log multiple parcels and notify multiple recipients in one go.

If you're unable to log the parcel by scanning, you can always manually enter the information (parcel recipient name and barcode) into the mobile app or the web platform.

Notify Recipients

Once you notify your recipients, they will automatically get an email with the number of parcels they can collect and a QR code that they need to present during parcel collection.

If you enable SMS notifications, the recipients will also automatically get text message reminders.

Note: You can edit the email templates yourself at any time by accessing your Parcel Tracker account.

Log a parcel out

Parcel Tracker makes parcel collection much easier, faster, and more eco-friendly.

Using Parcel Tracker's mobile app, you can log parcels out by simply scanning the QR codes sent to the recipients.

If the recipient can't present a QR code, you can log the parcels out manually via Parcel Tracker's mobile app or web platform.

In both cases, the recipient should leave an electronic signature as proof of pickup or simply take a picture by clicking on the Camera icon as proof of delivery.

If you are out delivering parcels rather than having recipients pick them up, you can log the parcels out manually.

Note: You can access all parcel information (signatures, images, etc.) in the Deliveries section on the Web platform anytime.
