Add Notes and Additional Parcel Details During the Scan Process

Learn how to add notes and additional parcel details during the scan process.

Parcel Tracker’s Additional Parcel Details feature allows you to capture vital information for every delivery, ensuring your team has full visibility from scan to collection.

Customizable Details Include:

  • Status Tags: Quickly label items as Damaged, Rejected, Perishable, or Large Item.

  • Physical Attributes: Record parcel dimensions and courier names.

  • Internal Tracking: Add custom notes, storage location, or reference numbers.

You can enable Advanced Parcel Details to trigger these options automatically every time a parcel is scanned. This ensures consistent data entry across your entire team without the need for manual navigation.

Follow these steps to learn how to add notes and additional parcel details during the scan process on your preferred device:

Web Platform

  1. Log in to Parcel Tracker and click Parcels on the main navigation bar.

  2. Click + Add Parcel.

  3. Select the Recipient and enter the Parcel Identifier.

  4. Click + Show Advanced to input tags, dimensions, courier info, or notes.

  5. Click Add Parcel to finalize.

Once you have added parcels, you can upload additional images for each parcel by selecting the specific parcel under the Parcel menu.

Mobile App

  1. Open the application and tap In, then tap Check In.

  2. For each parcel, hold down the Circular Button to begin scanning.

    • The app will automatically capture the recipient’s name and parcel details.

    • If prompted, hold down the Circular Button again to scan the parcel’s barcode.

  3. To add or edit details for the most recent scanned parcel:

    • Tap the black bar at the top of the screen, displaying the most recent scanned parcel.

  4. From this screen, you can:

    • Upload additional photos by taking a new photo or selecting one from your gallery

    • Add or edit Tags

    • Update the Sender

    • Set the Drop-Off and Storage Location

    • Edit other parcel details as needed

    • Tap Save once done

  5. When all parcels are ready, tap the Parcel Cart icon.

  6. Review your parcels, then tap Check In to finalize.
