What's the difference between One-step and Two-step scanning?

There are two scan modes for logging parcels on Parcel Tracker's app;

  • One-step scan mode lets you log a parcel with a single scan of the label. The app will detect the recipient's name, the room number, and the barcode all at once. It is faster, perfect for high-volume environments where speed is essential

  • Two-step scan mode lets you log parcels out in two steps. First, scan the recipient's name on the label, then scan the barcode. It is perfect for larger parcels where the entire label can't fit in the camera, providing thorough verification and control.

Both modes are fast, simple, and accurate, catering to individual preferences and workflow needs.

Select Scan Mode on the Android App

  1. Click the Settings icon.

  2. Click Select Scan mode.

  3. Select Single scan mode or Two-step scan mode > Click anywhere on the screen to go back.

Select Scan Mode on the IOS App

  1. Click the Settings icon.

  2. Turn on the Enable two-step scanning feature to select the two-step scan mode, or turn off the Enable two-step scanning feature to select the one-step scan mode.
