The Parcel Tracker mobile app offers two distinct scan modes for logging incoming packages. Whether you prioritize rapid processing or need extra flexibility for oversized boxes, both modes are fast, accurate, and cater to your specific daily workflow.

What is the difference between the two modes?

  • One-Step Scanning (Single Scan): Designed for maximum speed. With a single snapshot of the label, the app simultaneously captures the recipient's name, room number, and the package barcode. This mode is perfect for high-volume environments where clearing the queue quickly is essential.

  • Two-Step Scanning: Designed for flexibility and thorough verification. You log the parcel in two distinct steps: first by scanning the recipient's name on the label, and then scanning the barcode separately. This is ideal for larger parcels where the entire shipping label cannot fit into the camera frame at the same time.

How to Change Your Scan Mode (Mobile App)   

You can easily toggle between these two modes directly from your phone or tablet. To update your preference:

  1. Open the Parcel Tracker app and tap the Settings icon found on the bottom navigation menu.

  2. Look for the Scanning Configuration category, tap on Select Scan mode.

  3. Choose either Single scan mode or Two-step scan mode from the menu.

  4. Tap Confirm to save your selection.
