How to Enable Recipient Lock

Understanding and Using the Recipient Lock Feature.

What is Recipient Lock and How to Use It?

Recipient Lock is a feature designed to streamline the process of receiving multiple parcels for the same individual.

When receiving multiple parcels for the same person, you can use the recipient lock feature to avoid scanning the recipient's name multiple times. By toggling the recipient lock, you only need to scan the recipient's name once. Then, you can scan multiple parcel barcodes, all of which will be recorded under the same recipient's name, making the process faster and more efficient.

How to Enable the Feature

Before you can use the lock during a scan, ensure the toggle is active in your mobile app settings:

  1. Open the mobile app and tap Settings found on the bottom navigation menu.

  2. Look for Recipient lock under Scanning in Settings, toggle the switch on.

Step-by-Step Guide: Scanning Multiple Parcels

Once enabled, follow these steps to start batching your deliveries:

  1. Tap the In tab, then select Check In.

  2. Identify the recipient:

    • Hold down the Circular Button and position the camera closer to the name on the label to capture the recipient only, or

    • Manually select the recipient by tapping Select Recipient.

  3. Tap the Lock icon beside the recipient’s name.

    • This locks the scan to that recipient, meaning all parcels scanned afterward will be assigned to them.

  4. Hold down the Circular Button to scan each parcel’s barcode.

    • Repeat this step for all parcels belonging to the same recipient.

  5. Once done scanning, tap the Parcel Cart icon.

  6. Review your parcels, then tap Check In to finalize and notify the recipient.

Efficiency at Your Fingertips

By mastering the Recipient Lock, you transform a tedious manual task into a seamless, high-speed workflow. Whether it’s a heavy delivery day or a busy mailroom rush, this feature ensures your data stays organized and your recipients stay informed without the extra clicks.
